It's been a long time coming but the Irene Molloy record that I've been producing is ready for the light of day. The release show will be at Puck in Doylestown, PA on Saturday, March 1. Stay tuned for links for the digital release avenues.
I'm gearing up to head on the road with longtime friend and collaborator Chris Kasper to open a handful of shows for Amos Lee ion the midwest. Chris' new record "Bagabones" is something we're very proud of. If you haven't heard it yet please do check it out. Dates are posted, hope to see some midwest friends out there.
The rest of March and early April will find me playing shows with Bogey Phillips, Brad Hinton, Hezekiah Jones, and the Swinging Foxes. I'm also very excited to be bringing my original music to New York City for the first time with a late night show at Rockwood Music Hall on Friday April 11.
I'm very excited to be releasing "Inlets", my second record of solo compositions, on Saturday November 16 at the Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, PA. Unlike my 2009 release "Music From a Sinking Ship" which was all multi tracked with different musicians on every song and took close to 2 years to complete , this record was cut completely live in one afternoon session at Kawari Sound in Wyncote, PA with Matt Muir on the console. I was extremely fortunate to have some of the best musicians and human beings in the world on this record. Ross Bellenoit on guitar, Bethany Brooks on keyboards, Matt Scarano on drums, Patrick Hughes on trumpet, and Mark Allen on woodwinds.
This will put a cap on a great year of recording projects that I was fortunate enough to be a part of in 2013. Records by Chris Kasper, Scot Sax, Ali Wadsworth, Brad Hinton, Small Houses, Quarry St Hymnal (Bethany Brooks), Joe D'Amico, The Doublewides, Sol Knopf, and Pete Groch. Check back here for updates on some more great stuff set to come out in early 2014.
